Pickleball League & Tournament Management Platform | The Bracket Boss
Tech Stack
Description
Nextgen Solutions delivered a modern web platform for The Bracket Boss to streamline the growing needs of pickleball leagues, tournaments, and clubs. With pickleball rapidly expanding in popularity, league organizers required a centralized solution to handle registration, scheduling, scoring, and communication—without the administrative overhead. Our team architected and built a system that scales from small local clubs to large competitive leagues, allowing organizers to focus on players and events rather than manual processes.
To realize this vision, Nextgen Solutions implemented a robust, scalable tech stack. The frontend was developed in Next.js, styled with Tailwind CSS and Shadcn components for a responsive, visually appealing UI. On the server side, we employed NestJS exposing a GraphQL API for flexible and efficient data operations. Complex entities such as brackets, player statistics, and standings are managed in PostgreSQL via TypeORM. All infrastructure runs on AWS—using RDS for reliable database hosting and S3 for secure media storage—to ensure high performance and uptime.
One of the standout deliverables was a comprehensive set of tournament management features. Nextgen Solutions enabled organizers to configure leagues and tournaments in formats like round‑robin, single elimination, or best‑of‑series, complete with court and roster management. Players benefit from real‑time standings, upcoming match schedules, and instant score updates. We also implemented customizable club pages, allowing each organization to showcase its unique branding. Integrated payment workflows via Stripe, Apple Pay, and Google Pay—along with digital waiver signing—streamlined participant onboarding and revenue collection.
Nextgen Solutions further enhanced The Bracket Boss with built‑in communication and analytics tools. Team messaging, push notifications for schedule changes, and organizer announcements keep everyone informed. Our custom reporting dashboard provides insights into player engagement, financial metrics, and tournament performance. A flexible admin panel gives full control over users, clubs, events, and system settings. The modular architecture ensures that the platform can expand to support additional sports or high‑volume regional competitions without a major rework.
Overall, Nextgen Solutions provided a powerful, intuitive platform that transformed manual, time‑consuming tournament administration into a seamless, scalable experience. The Bracket Boss now empowers players, teams, clubs, and organizers alike to focus on the excitement of the sport.
